Community Conversations - June 5, 2026

Join Village President Colleen Little and Village Administrator Bill Chang for the second Community Conversation, focused on Tax Increment Districts (TIDs/TIFs) and their role in community development and Village projects.

This conversation will provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about how TIDs/TIFs work, ask questions, and participate in an open discussion on the topic.

Due to the nature of this discussion, this Community Conversation will be held at Village Hall during regular business hours. President Little is committed to hosting Community Conversations at a variety of locations and times throughout the community in an effort to reach and engage as many residents as possible.

Supporting Materials to the Conversation

Tax Increment Districts (TIDs/TIFs) are a key tool the Village uses to support development, infrastructure improvements, and community growth. This page provides an overview of how TIDs work in DeForest, current district information, and answers to frequently asked questions. It is a helpful resource for residents looking to better understand how these investments support long-term community goals.
